Understanding
the competition
We want to understand the differences between
your organization and your competitors. Knowing this we can make
better keyword suggestions and create web pages that can earn higher
search engine rankings.
But web pages from your competitor's websites are not your only
competition for high rankings; other types of web pages can have
high rankings also. These other web pages include surveys, reports,
academic publications, and informational pages. An advantage in
finding these pages is that we can request links from these pages
back to your web pages, and these links can increase the ranking
of your web pages.
We'll begin by creating a position report showing how your web pages
rank relative to certain of your competitors. This will give us
a starting point for our work.
