Pay-per-click is effective and quick

Pay-per-click (PPC) search engine advertising is the fastest way to get a high ranking in a search engine. You bid on keywords and the highest bidder gets the top ranking when someone searches for that keyword. It's also an efficient use of advertising funds because you incur a cost only when a search engine visitor clicks through to your website.

While getting started in a PPC program is easy, making the most effective use of the budgeted funds for the program is considerably more difficult. You may have to select different keywords for PPC than you use for natural search engine optimization. Your keyword bids may have to change many times in a day in response to your competitor's bids and in response to the behavior of your prospective customers.

We can help

We will select the most cost-effective keywords for your PPC program and the best programs from the PPC search engines. We will manage the bids to optimize the return on your PPC investment. We will write effective copy for the PPC site listings and continually test the effectiveness of the copy to ensure that searchers on the PPC sites select your web pages from among all the displayed page listings. We will also design and write effective landing pages for your website so that visitors coming to your site stay on your website and start on the navigation path toward fulfilling the objective of your website. We may also be able to use the landing pages for each keyword as the optimized core page of sub-sites as part of the natural search engine optimization process.

We recommend these companies

There are many pay-per-click sites and the number of them is quickly growing. For most companies we recommend two, Yahoo Search Marketing (formerly Overture) and Google Ad Words. There are some interesting differences between the two especially with regard to how they rank the PPC websites. Both programs have different features and each must be managed differently to optimize the return on each.

There are also some mid-sized PPC sites we recommend in special situations. These include Miva which owns Findwhat and Espotting, with its large presence in Europe, and Kanoodle which has a network that includes includes CNET and a context advertising network including many content-based websites.

Choosing which and how many PPC sites to use and how much to bid for your keywords is determined by your budget and the ROI of your PPC experience. We can help you maximize your PPC investment through rigorous keyword selection, effective bid management, and timely ROI measurements.
